Bill Gates Wants To End All Breathing

Gates tells me in his office overlooking Lake Washington in Seattle. “The right goal is not to cut our carbon emissions in half. The right goal is zero.”

They tried that in Germany about 70 years ago, and most people weren’t that happy with the results.

Zero? Does Bill Gates know that without fossil fuels, there would be no commercial air traffic? No electric jets, no wind powered jets, no geothermal jets, no hydro-electric powered jets, no horse drawn jets, no hybrid jets, no solar jets. None of these things are possible.

    Idiot.

I have two friends from two different companies I worked at. Both are systems programmers, both are good at their job, both are very smart and both work long hours of overtime. They both have something else in common, they are in their 50’s and have never had sex, been on a date taken a trip, lived life. They are functionally socially illiterate. Their lack of competence overflows into other parts of their life, cars are a mystery to them, they don’t wash their clothes or clean their apartments often, they are Democrats and on and on. This strange combination of great skill or intelligience in one area and almost total lack of skill and common sense in most other areas in life is nt uncommon. Maybe that’s the cost of great aptitude in math or science. The point is great and respected people are often wrong when they step outside their area of expertise.

I work with more than 350 engineers (in my building alone, another 350 two blocks down the street), physicists and other very astute scientific littermates, all that I have met value their social lives very much, are overwhelmingly conservative, and pee their pants in laughter when you mention the words “Global Warming” … I might add, I work for an extremely large energy/electronics company. You should hear what they have to say about wind and solar energy, or electric cars … ROFL…. Seems the true experts (the engineers on the front lines) differ in opinion to our political masters.

      • Gail Combs says:

Engineers have to be solidly based in reality. No Ivory tower fantasy life for them.

Screw-up and real people (with relatives who sue) die!

  3. darwin says:

Well, the rich ruling class (liberals … aka commies) will still have access to fossil fuels for travel and such, but the oppressed class will have to rely on whatever they give us.

  4. Pathway says:

Bill only wants the little people to stop breathing.

I really, really enjoy all the reports on this web-site; thanks!

This report (in particular) reminds me about the children’s book I read to my children when they were much-younger; Petunia the Goose. Petunia finds the farmer’s reading glasses and book in the yard; she wears the glasses and carries the book under her wings as she mingled with the other farm animals. She instantly becomes a valued and sought-out intellectual who is asked for her opinions about all sorts of topics, and she offers all she has in her replies; her unconstrained answers.

Thomas Sowell writes often about the audacity of the intellectuals; I appreciate how Mr Sowell focuses on the peculiarity of how the liberal-elites think (their unconstrained visions). “If we cannot be expected to govern ourselves (1:1 ratio), then how can one person be expected to govern the rest of us (1:billions ratio)?” And, “who is going to be given this great role?” (loosely quoted from Mr Sowell’s writings).

The only thing I can see that is melting are individual-liberties, deductive reasoning, and constrained-thoughts.

  6. What could possibly go wrong? says:

He has his own little program running, it seems.

  7. Send Al to the Pole says:

Bill is a bit of a twist on the usual Progtard non-logic. He is for reduced taxes and some other rational things.

But, tho he’s a very smart guy, he has no scientific background beyond high school. I can only assume he hasn’t looked very closely into this issue. Part of being a Lib is being a gullible sap. Bill certainly wasn’t that way with regard to business, but it appears that he’s swallowed the Klimate con hook/line/sinker.

His dad is an attorney. MSFT’s rise to power was more about legal prowess and exclusionary business models than great code. So his acumen may be focused on subjective areas of knowledge.

  8. Mike D says:

A decade ago it was CO2 causing Global Warming. Now it is carbon emissions causing Climate Change. If people are emitting carbon, then they’re certainly emitting more oxygen. So why don’t they talk of oxygen emitters?

The language has gotten so intentionally twisted that they talk of climate change deniers, when just about no one claims the climate doesn’t change. And they talk of “carbon emissions” rather than CO2. That’s because their theories about CO2 are easy to demonstrate were wrong.

    • R. Shearer says:

Yes, typically advances in science lead to more precise definitions, equations, etc. That is not the case with AGW.

  9. Edmonton Al says:

Remember Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? [ Sherlock Holmes writer]
Although Conan Doyle created one of the most hardnosed rational characters in literature, the author himself later became converted to a variety of supernatural beliefs, and he was taken in by a few hoaxes.

Now Bill Gates is being taken in by the CAGW fraud.
These men assume that because they are knowledgable about one thing that, that makes them knowledgable about all things.

    • Scott Scarborough says:

In fact, I think that it was Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who wrote in one of his Sherlock Holmes stories that the best chess player is merely the best chess player. It doesn’t mean that he is the best at solving mysteries.

  10. Andy Oz says:

CAGW is a mythical creation of the elites to introduce a global taxation system across national boundaries. The elites like Bill still promote it but most Americans do not believe their propaganda anymore. The alarmists will use any means to defend their carbon tax. The next step will be “re-education camps” of the Cambodian kind for skeptics. The ones you don’t graduate from. At least you guys in America have legal firearms to protect by yourselves.

Mr. Gates can do his share by jumping out that office window.
