Geir Lundestad, Director, Professor, or The Norwegian Nobel Institute emailed me back with the following:
1) Michael Mann has never been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
2) He did not receive any personal certificate. He has taken the diploma awarded in 2007 to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (and to Al Gore) and made his own text underneath this authentic-looking diploma.
3) The text underneath the diploma is entirely his own. We issued only the diploma to the IPCC as such. No individuals on the IPCC side received anything in 2007.

Mikey may have contributed to a Nobel Prize awarded on a fraudulent pretext. Is that anything to be proud of? Of course not. Since Mikey has debased the Nobel Prize and admitted that he was part of a fraudulent scam to win a Nobel Prize, he should go directly to jail!
Al Gore should have gotten the Nobel prize for inventing the Internet and the hanging chad.

It seems to me that Mikey definitely dwells in an alternate reality.
My bet is that the text underneath is not actually Mann’s creation, but that of Pachauri who wished them to have a “memento” as his cover letter stated and he sent this to a bunch of them. So Mann’s “memento” is about as thrilling as that perfect attendance certificate I got in Grade 3. I’m going to have to find that and put it up in my window and use it in future CV’s. I had no idea it was such common practice and so valuable.

The only think I can think of what’s going on is there must be a court in DC that will act very favorable to left wing politics. And the trial will be held there. There must be a fix in. Because Michael Mann can’t be stupid enough to go to trial on this ridiculous evidence–can he?
They have a judge that is VERRRY sympathetic to the leftist cause. We’re going to get another ‘exoneration’ of Mikey. Mikey has friends in very high places within the left-o-sphere. He’s their latter day Lyschenko.

Looking at Trenberth’s CV page shows exactly why the “Greenhouse Effect” hypothesis is so important – it has brought fame and fortune together with a jetset lifestyle to a bunch of people who otherwise would have been simply ordinary working class.
