My wife and I have lived in Arizona nearly 45 years — mostly Tucson, but also a few years in Buckeye west of Phoenix in the middle of cotton fields, and still love the climate. We’re climate refugees from Michigan. Our first summer in Buckeye, which is usually a little warmer than Phoenix, I pushed a power mower through Bermuda grass nearly every day to cut our two acres in temperatures over 110F. Can’t recall ever wanting to return to Michigan.
