2012 and 2013 had the fewest tornadoes on record in the US, and 2014 is already well below normal.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

It’s hard to start a tornado when the whole of N. America is an ice ball.
Love global warming it reduces severe weather.
with the cold winter lingering, I’m wondering that a rapid warm up in the south will spawn lots this spring? Folks down in the alley might be able to shed some light, but I seem to recall that a few years back Canada exported some nice cold air, and the mid south was very warm and bam!
If the Old Farmers Almanac is correct much of the midwest is in for a slightly rainier and warmer spring than normal. As we are seeing old man winter is doing his best to hold on I wonder what will happen when the really warm and wet tropical air comes up as we continue to get blasts of cold from the north. Anyway I suspect we may be in for a far more active tornado season than last year. But what the heck, I’m just a truck driver that is making his best guess.
