Responding to a reporter’s question on weapons’ regulations, Holder said, “Well, as President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons. I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a minimum.”

Obama thinks that sending thousands of assault rifles to criminals in Mexico will have a positive impact.
There is part of the Fast and Furious scandal which I saw a month ago but which is now being left out. Some border guards reported that they were told to NOT check certain shipments crossing the border into the US. Their belief was that the same drug gangs which were given full auto weapons were also being allowed to pass drug shipments into the US. The ostensible reason was that the drug gangs then supplied info about OTHER gangs to the Federal LEOs.
Anyone who thinks that governments never support the drug trade have forgotten the Opium Wars.
It is easy to figure out. Our leadership , present and past for several presidents , does not like the fact that the common man in America is wealthy and enjoys great freedom. They cannot control a man who is truly a common king in all things right and propper. So in their hatred of freedom and prosperity for all they are destroying this great nation. Nothing new under the sun, it’s old satan with new minions.
The market for illegal drugs is the only working market the government ever invented. Maybe they should outlaw more stuff to bring about employment and revenue.
