The Tangled Web

Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive!

Sir Walter ScottMarmion, Canto vi. Stanza 17.

Sooner or later, all liars and tamperers get tangled up in their own web of deceit.

Hopefully they all get tangled up before retirement.

From Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice, 1596:

    LAUNCELOT: ….truth will come
to light; murder cannot be hid long; a man’s son
may, but at length the truth will out.

    Steven,

Keep it up! Never give up! Love the site, because I love the truth – even if the truth hurts! But sometimes the truth doesn’t hurt – as in Man-Made Global Warming is an overblown urban myth, a liberal political fetish foisted on a largely ignorant mass of innocent people. Result: we the people, the regular people get blamed for destroying mother Gaia while our so-appointed betters fly around the wonderful world, our wonderful earth we all share, blaming us for a problem that does not exist; and further attempting to impose solutions that would not even work if the non-existent problem did indeed even exist. Logic is thus stretched.
