Government Scientists Messing With Texas

Thermometers show that Texas was much hotter 100 years ago. But that doesn’t suit the political or religious agenda of people like Katherine Hayhoe and Andrew Dessler – so NCDC simply reversed the trend by massively cooling the past, and warming the present.

Hey – I saved a 2011 historic temp plot from NOAA’s Climate at a glance site for Texas – shows an absolute flat 116 +/- temp trend. Send me a note and I’ll send you the graphic, as their revised/adjusted one shows a warming trend now. cheers

It’s part of the electioneering ploys they use on every red state. Here in Florida they’ve been repeating the sea level nonsense again this year. In other states they’ll blame tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, skin cancer, whatever they dream up depending on the state. Just to keep their funding streams.

It took 14 years to catch another Texan cheat – Lance Armstrong. It will likely be the same with NCDC Texan cheats.

There’s a great story there, about a large organization and the pressure and need to ‘perform’; sort of like that AGW tale …

Between sponsors like the USPS, vendor endorsements, TV ads, interviews, the pressure was on to perform. Much like those who are fully-vested in this globull warming – ‘climate change’ BS.

Lance Armstrong as Study in Corruption

The spectacular maelstrom that is Lance Armstrong Inc. teaches us how power, backed by lots of money and self-righteousness, can be a force of almost unlimited destruction. The disgraced cyclist’s story isn’t just about the greatest private doping conspiracy in sports history—it’s about the nature of corruption, period.

Does this sound familiar: “… power, backed by lots of money and self-righteousness, can be a force of almost unlimited destruction. ” ?

      The AGW ‘industry’ anyone?

Sounds like a lot of what we see throughout history.

Greed is a minor problem compared to Greed + Power + Self-righteousness especially coupled with a sense of superiority. A perfect description of John Holdren and many in the UN, EU and WTO like Maurice Strong, Ted Turner, Pascal Lamy…

Where do they get off DECIDING the fate of the world without asking the rest of us? ESPECIALLY when they are always mouthing the words Equality, Democracy and ‘Social Justice’ … Darn hypocrites.

        • _Jim says:

‘Greed’ – only one of the 7 deadly (Seven Deadly Sins); there six others:

          1. luxuria (lechery/lust)
          2. gula (gluttony)
          3. avaritia (avarice/greed) – – – – – – – – Identified by Gail
          4. acedia (sloth/discouragement)
          5. ira (wrath)
          6. invidia (envy)
          7. superbia (pride)

        • Gail Combs says:

          _Jim,

You can add, in addition to #3. Greed
          for the predators:
          1. lust – for more power (though lechery is certainly in there as a failing.)
          2. gluttony – the desire to control not just their already large empires but the entire world
          5. wrath – That the Den1ers are not willing to cave in to their carefully formulated “Consensus”
          7. pride – the feeling of superiority over the serfs (working people)

          and for the fawning parasites:
          4. sloth – Actually the Predators also exhibit sloth. They don’t want to put the work in to be competitive they rather use their pet politicians to write laws to kill the competition
          6. envy – The hatred of the good and industrious for being good and industrious. The Predators fear competition from the middle class because they know there is always an Edison or an Einstein out there who could displace them given a decent education and half a chance.

So they hit all seven notes. {:>D

  4. We should let liberals think it’s hot as dickens in Texas, as well as full of hicks, bigots, and racists, so they’re discouraged from moving here and ruining the state.

Back in the 80’s when we were facing an influx of NYers (easily identified by the “I Heart NY” bumper stickers on their rusted Fords and Chevys) into Tejas and someone bought ad-space on a billboard on the east side of Dallas along the interstate that read:

      . . . “Heart NY? Take I-30 eastbound

I lived on Mt. McDonald Observatory in Texas when a child and now own my own little mountain and considerable forest in Upstate NY. And I do love it here and didn’t love it in dry Texas. And I like snow in winter, too, imagine that!

Which is why I worry about the next ice age. Where I am, it was under a mile of ice! When I take out my backhoe to dig on the mountain I find all sorts of interesting things the glaciers dropped behind when they melted. Lots of Vermont marble, for example.
