Slowest Fire Season Since 2003

The press is hysterical about forest fires this year, but the National Interagency Fire center shows that 2012 has had the fewest fires from January 1 through July 11 of any year since 2003. There have been half as many fires as 2006.

Once again, the superstitious press is hysterical about a non-trend.

    Steven – You should update the graph to say July 11th, not June 11th.

    Since alarmists are so obsessed with fire, one wonders if they go around setting them. They can’t create hurricanes or tornadoes, but fire is another story.
