This ad ran on several TV stations just before the election. Had the republicans blizted the airwaves with this starting 60 days before the election the repubs would have picked up 100 House seats and gotten the majority in the Senate.
We are now in a battle with China over their business practices in “green” technology. China in retaliation has cut off the US from buying REMs from China. The US has no infrastructure to access its own REMs as the enviros forced US mining companies out of this business years ago. Are we we any better off being dependent on foreign entities for REMs than being dependent on oil? The answer is clearly no, and unless enviros accept that we need to go back to that dirty disgusting habit of mining our own REMs, we can’t be energy independent in “green” industries.
It reminds me of how the enviros killed the nuclear industry 30 years ago. If rational thinking rather than Hollywood driven hysteria had prevailed after 3 mile island, we would have already had an unlimited clean energy supply from Gen3 and Gen4 nuclear power. The irony is that it has been the enviros who have killed every past opportunity to develop independent clean energy because of their hysteria driven agenda.
The Enviros are only puppets being played by those who would profit most from the restrictions. Did anyone notice how many so called research institutes and Attorney groups are involved in Environmental campaigns. It is interesting the number of Public Relations forms also. It appears the new industry in the developed world is “Think Tanks” and “Scientific Research”.
