Climate experts constantly claim that we can slow sea level rise along the East Coast by reducing CO2 emissions in the US.
This is an interesting claim, because there is no correlation between sea level rise rates and atmospheric CO2. Apparently superstition is adequate for climate scientists and Democratic politicians.

What they obviously want is for people to envision what absolute sea level is doing versus CO2. And that is just how the majority of alarmist voters are probably framing the issue in their mind.

I guess next NPS will be saying to visit the Everglades before it disappears under the water to get tourism up.
BTW – in addition to subsidence along the upper East Coast by land still bouncing down from last glacier period retreating, the Chesapeake Bay is a big crater caused by an asteroid, and simply land is sinking back into the hole for say half the change in relative sea level as opposed to absolute.
Truly bizarre. How can they post a figure on one page showing ZERO acceleration in sea level rise over the last 100+ years, and then claim on another page that it is an “accelerated rate of rise”?
If you look at NPS, they cite Maul, George A. and Douglas M. Martin 1993. “Sea level rise at Key West, Florida, 1846-1992: America’s longest instrument record?” Geophysical Research Letters 20:1955-1958 where pre/post 1925 is used to split the record. For “acceleration” it is in reference to relative sea level using NYC and San Francisco data, not FL, weal statistically, and says “Key West sea level, corrected for post-glacial rebound, is best explained by concurrent measurements of 0-1,000 db dynamic height anomaly change.”
As far as “acceleration”, looks like sea level on falling trend at FL marsh since 1996 from NPS graph posted, but I am cherry picking.
NOAA says for Key West, “The mean sea level trend is 2.31 millimeters/year with a 95% confidence interval of +/- 0.15 mm/yr based on monthly mean sea level data from 1913 to 2013”

There is no acceleration of sea level rise at Key West.
Thus you are entirely correct as NPS saying, “This accelerated rate of rise-brought about by human-caused warming-threatens to outpace the ability of plants, animals, and processes of the Everglades, which are already being affected by sea level rise in many ways, to adapt.” is a bunch of garbage on “acceleration,” but guess brought to you from climate change talking points on non-existent facts based on forecasts instead of data, same people who brought you talking points on Benghazi. Florida is in a region of the United States that exhibits no substantial long-term warming.

After looking at the graphic for this post, it looks like the sea level measurements plotted against time would give a similar plot, considering CO2 level and time (years) are correlated highly.
The number of points at the low CO2 end of the graph would be spread out due to the limited CO2 rise in the earlier years instead of concentated in the 310 ppm range.
Do you have the time series data to produce sea level vs year?
