I like the way the low to mid 80’s now show up in blazing red. Based on that map, you’d think half the country was having a heat wave.
That’s just temperature inflation.
Just like the “non-existent” food price inflation where the price stays the same and the packages get smaller and smaller.
Since the world isn’t warming, the color scale was shifted 8 degrees to make the available heat energy look much warmer than it is.
When they start showing 32F as blazing dark red, you know we are in deep doo doo.

I think, I have read, that the output of these kind of mapping programs represent the highest values assigned to the warmest colors and the lowest temps the coolest colors. That would mean that you couldn’t really lay two different maps down side by side and compare them because the color representations wouldn’t match. Coincidence? You be the judge.

This should increase the snowfall in the next NH winter- similarly to 2008, 10, 11 and 13- and end the drought of California.
Looks like western Colorado will warm ~4° the second week. I hope so, tomatoes are actually ripening this year.
