July 10 is typically the hottest day of the year on the Greenland ice sheet. It is -12C and snowing right now in the center of the ice sheet. Temperatures have not risen anywhere close to the freezing mark this summer.

I see they are setting up the new 19th hole and greatly expanding it! That is nice because it was getting tight in the old one,waiting out the breezes and minor snow showers.

The vast majority of the surface of the Greenland ice sheet is at high altitude, because the ice is two miles thick.

We are approaching the one year anniversary of the 97% meltdown that happens about every 150 years or so. It just happens to coincide with the hottest temp on record 🙂
