Snowden was a major character in Catch-22.
This Snowden erred and should have gone to Ron or Rand Paul as a whistleblower with all it’s protections. I’m reluctant to say it, but he should be prosecuted for leaking what he took an oath to protect.

Daniel Ellsberg, who was a candidate for the firing squad himself, has a come-to-Jesus moment and is suddenly worried about Constitutional rights? Okay, I’ll accept that from an old man nearing his end. However he had no such good intentions in 1969 regardless of what he says now. His primary enemy was Nixon, not Johnson who was out of office. His second enemy was the American war effort and was intent on handing Southeast Asia over to the Communists.
Once again, this is not to say that all that information should have been classified in the first place. However, he was no whistleblower, and the New York Times was no friend of America. He was a leftists domestic enemy who is lucky to still be breathing today.
