It is hard to argue with the records. It does not matter what was said regarding 2016 +-3 when the record actually shows the year 2013 was said and that as being too conservative.
The problem with the alarmist position is they seem to make a lot of contradictory claims. I guess we can also “Cherry Pick” their statements to support any position we want.

Oh no! We are setting record trough to peak ice-gain year on year. Compare 2010s trough to peak to the 1970s.
