Meteorologists think that they can forecast the short-term results of the return to the norm of the last century. They begin by noting the slight drop in overall temperature that produces large numbers of pressure centers in the upper atmosphere. These break up the smooth flow of westerly winds over temperate areas. The stagnant air produced in this way causes an increase in extremes of local weather such as droughts, floods, extended dry spells, long freezes, delayed monsoons and even local temperature increases – all of which have a direct impact on food supplies.
Cooling causes the same things as warming.. Makes sense.. Apparently flat temps like the last decade or so are causing the same thing..
So we can conclude: all temp changes cause extreme weather.. Who woulda thunk it?

The New Easer Scientific Method is so much easier than the old antiquated method of testing and analysis. It’s so, so fast and it doesn’t require any brains at all.

kirkmyers, it is scary , you have the terminology and the thought process exactly . I’m glad you don’t have the ideology too . The new easier scientific method , isn’t that what universities are promoting now ? When these kids get out of college now they have to be retrained , and that is if their desire to do honest work hasn’t been destroyed. I guess newsweek has always been an alarmist rag .

The Warmist scientists are addicted to their theory. If empirical data contradict their theory (which the data do), they will always question the data. I suspect their infatuation with their now-discredited theory is really a disguise for their love of the wealth and power they can grab by exploiting the theory.
