I was a Powell fan up to that point. What a disappointment.
Never trusted him myself, classic affirmative action. We were lucky he was promoted to a desk before the first Gulf war, leaving Schwarzkopf in the field instead.
On the lighter side, I loved Colin Powell in Mars Attacks!
