Shock News : A Skinny Bear Came Off The Ice

The polar bears have come off the ice and some have migrated into the area. One bear has been shot for chasing a tourist who was out alone on the beach photographing. Bonnie’s brother Jack, a manitoba Conservation officer, was not happy with the “fool” for putting himself in that position and in the end causing the bear’s demise. The bear was about half the weight that it should have been…probably the reason it was seeking out some prey.

This seems impossible because bears on ice never get malnourished. Skinny bears are a well known proxy for global warming and a lack of ice.

“Around the age of four or five the female polar bear can start having babies. They usually only have two cubs and they have these babies in a cave they’ve dug in a large snow drift. They stay there over winter and come out in spring with the babies.”

Unless they have pantries packed with seal meat in those ice caves, I would guess that holing up for an entire winter is a pretty good weight loss program.

Cute. The use of the word ‘babies’ is just an appeal to emotions. And the correct word for these ‘caves’ is ‘dens.’ Whoever wrote this sounds like a six year old.

Another factor that causes ‘skinny’ bears is competition from other bears – which doesn’t quite fit the vanishing bear story – but in any case getting skinny at this time of year is part of their annual cycle.

As is the way with these cherry picking polar bear liars, I would expect to see some headline soon about ‘Starving Polar Bears Attacking Humans’ to go along with the AGW lies about drowning bears and cannibals.

And, as usual, this is about the most southerly polar bear population in the world, on the extreme margins of polar bear range and habitat, and is not representative of the whole population at all.

Why shoot? The tourist was just a Nissan Leaf owner going up to get his hug. All good greens should go up to the artic and give the polar bears a nice big hug. It will show that their heart was…is in the right place and help keep the population of polar bears well fed.

We should start a “Hug-A-Polar bear campaign” There is still plenty of time this season for Eco Tourists to travel to the region and Hug-A-Bear.
