The summer of 1936 was the hottest on record in the US, but the winter was extremely cold.

February, 1936 saw temperature anomalies of -26ºF in Montana. The 1930s was typified by extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme drought, wind and dust.
We are now told by climate experts that this sort of extreme weather is due to man-made CO2, which was 310 ppm at the time – just barely above pre-industrial values.

Hi, Steven,
Can I hang around here ?
I’m not too technical, and darn it I missed 1936.
Was that when they used to fry eggs on the pavement for amusement ?
Boy, for the hottest year ever it is cooling off rapidly .
Glad to have you.
Thanks.
I enjoy your straight shooting and good sense of humor.
