  1. I would say the True BO [BO stinks!] “doctrine” is much closer to “force THEM to submit ! & if they do TAX THEM; if THEY don’t behead THEM!”

  2. Fifty-five percent disapproval today from Gallup. Forty-one percent approval. Spread of 14 points.

    • inMAGICn says:

      Forty-one percent approve?

      I am hardly comforted.,

      • I wish it was only forty-one percent in Boulder.

      • I know, it’s like a nightmare, isn’t it? Still, there is reason to believe that the real number is lower than that, and that some who don’t support him are lying and saying they do, to avoid the label of racism. I think the actual number is around 35 right now. I think the way to look at it is, if you could have the ear of each of those 35% for long enough to really show them exactly what has been done by the present administration, just lay it all out all at once, with the proof on the table so that they can’t claim it might not all be true … what would the support level be, then?

There are a lot of folks who care and have a bit of common sense, but haven’t taken the time to actually look at all the evidence that has accumulated over six years.

And there are some who believe that Obama is a complete nut job, but continue to support him simply because they believe that the alternative is even worse. That’s a kind of “support by default”. It can be easier to turn around, because subconsciously the person is unhappy with his choice and is already casting about for reasons to change his mind. Sometimes all it takes is one conversation from the right kind of person who’s willing to listen and empathize.

So there is some reason for optimism. Obama famously said that he and his friends got “shellacked” in 2010. At this point, it’s reasonable to expect an even bigger defeat for them, if the election were held today. Of course, a lot can happen in one month ….

So…he never grew up past kindergarten?

That’s pretty much how most 5 yr olds behave.

You are insulting the five year olds. It is closer to how two year olds behave:
      I WANT it NOW!

Obama throws temper tantrum, storms out of debt negotiations
      [Video]

President Barack Obama abruptly walked out of a stormy debt-limit meeting with congressional leaders Wednesday, throwing into serious doubt the already shaky negotiations, according to GOP sources

“He shoved back and said ‘I’ll see you tomorrow’ and walked out,” House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) told reporters in the Capitol after the meeting.

Here I was just looking for a good image of a kid tossing a temper tantrum and I find this gem.

Speaking of Obama and his effin fuel economy standards all because of global warming “climate change,” and his fight against the XL Pipeline and our ability to produce bountiful oil, well predictably our powerful capable cars are going to be history soon: http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/news/fuel-economy/obama-announces-54-6-mpg-cafe-standard-by-2025

    55mpg in a decade?

You got to be kidding. This is the law now, by Executive Order of Obama. All of our cars are going to be turning into expensive Priuses, and our “SUVs” are going to be Trackers. Stringent additional standards are going to be hitting by 2017, and it looks like the Jeep Wrangler is going to a be a victim of the Cafe standards. An excerpt from We Hear: Next-Gen Jeep Wrangler Production Could Leave Toledo just out:

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne is further solidifying rumors that the next-generation Jeep Wrangler will be radically different from the one we know today.. The main reason behind it [the move from Toledo] would be the switch to aluminum construction. Marchionne states that retrofitting the Toledo facility for aluminum production would be too expensive.

[It is also likety that] the next-gen Wrangler, slated to arrive in 2017, will switch from its solid axle setup to an independent suspension system. But that’s not all. While the Wrangler’s 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 has received much praise, Marchionne suggests that the off-roader will need to adopt smaller engines, possibly a turbo-four, to help the automaker meet fleet fuel economy mandates.

Love it. A serioiusly underpowered thin aluminum Jeep that won’t have the torque or suspension for offroad. Lol, not.

He had the nerve to tell the CEO of a steel co, the reason his insurance costs were rising was he just didn’t check around enough. Obama doesn’t have the slightest clue. On the 60 Minutes interview, he had to be reading the answers since he didn’t hesitate or say “uh” once. Either he was healed of this malady overnight or he used a teleprompter. You could see his eyes moving to the same place. What a charade.

    • Gail Combs says:

      Yeah, right.

Obummer as usual has his head stuck….

My business insurance doubled in price and we were very lucky to get it. No one instate would insure us. In desperation we asked around and found Lester Kalmanson Agency Inc. out of Florida.

“Lester Kalmanson Agency Inc. specializes in insuring rare and unusual risks.

We offer a wide range of general insurance coverages. Our reputation is built on providing insurance for the Wild, Weird, and Wacky….”

We are actually insured through Lloyds of London, the world’s insurance market. Lloyd’s is an insurance market, not an insurance company so you need to go through an independent agent or broker. My local broker, who I get house and car insurance from gave up trying to find us an insurance company after 9/11.

Many of the small business owners found their business insurance canceled as insurance companies who lost their shirts over 9/11 scrambled to become meaner and leaner and cut any insurance that could mean claims. They therefore would only insure businesses where the industry had a long history with plenty of data for the actuaries to analyze. Anything that was niche market got booted. Thank goodness for Lester Kalmanson!

I imagine we are seeing the same thing happening again because of Obummercare. Insurance companies are hedging their bets by jacking prices across the board to make sure they do not get caught flat-footed again.

And then there is inflation. Insurance companies aren’t dumb. They know Bernanke more than doubled the US money supply and sooner or later it is going to come back and bite us. So they are going to start jacking the prices gradually over time collecting dollars now that are ‘worth more’

Obummer, or at least his cabinet should be well aware of these things. It doesn’t take an Einstein to see them. On the other hand the ‘Affirmative Action’ infected may not bother to exercise their brains enough to even look at the problem.

Simply put, A’s hire A’s and B’s hire C’s. We now have a government wher an F is hiring Z’s. As in asleep at the wheel.

      • nielszoo says:

Ouch. Having had to buy insurance that only Lloyds would underwrite I’m aware of what they charge… they’re good, but really really expensive.

We are all guilty of blaming others when it is our own fault. That is something inherent in the way young children try to protect themselves. But we grew out of it and manned up. No so for the president.
