Fred, you are forgetting one tried and true rule of politics. You need an issue to run on, and either win lose or draw you must have a straw man your candidate can fight and defeat. If a candidate has no enemies at the gate then he had D*** sure better start inventing some. This is what I keep trying to tell my Tea Party friends, you must run on positives and attack the negatives. Newt and Nancy are both old pols and they clearly understand this. Therefore I can’t get the picture out of my mind of watching them on the news, lip-locked like two fornicating dogs over AGW or some issue equally as bad.
