Spamming Global Warming BS

This story is all over the Internet today :

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska wildlife officials have released a report acknowledging that scientific and traditional evidence increasingly shows climate change at unprecedented rates throughout the Arctic.

The report released this week marks a departure for the state, which is suing to overturn the federal listing of polar bears as a threatened species because of declining sea ice habitat.

But when you get to the third paragraph you see  the substance :

The report, called “Climate Change Strategy,” says warming temperatures could affect Alaska’s bodies of water, leading to changes in sport fishing and subsistence opportunities.

In other words, probably just more BS from the usual culprits.

WaPo is having problems differentiating between “is” and “could”; a common complaint amongst the MSM.

Yeah, Oregon released one of its Cap & Trade advertisements / climate reports yesterday.

Riddled with errors, just like the Alaska one.

      I liked this prediction:
Dr. Frank C. Baxter: “Well, it’s been calculated a few degrees rise in the Earth’s temperature would melt the polar ice caps.
And if this happens, an inland sea would fill a good portion of the Mississippi valley. Tourists in glass bottom boats would be viewing the drowned towers of Miami through 150 feet of tropical water.

What an answer from the glob’s top Climatologist! Read the 2007 report to see if the globe has been warming for the last 15 years! He could not give a definite answer.

When I get to this comment:

“The report, called “Climate Change Strategy,” says warming temperatures could affect Alaska’s bodies of water, leading to changes in sport fishing and subsistence opportunities.”

It suggests this report was ordered up (probably by the EPA, so they could refer to it) for the purpose of justifying a shutdown of sport fishing and fishing in general.

  7. The warming is causing animals to increase in the Arctic “the average population of arctic species rose by 16% between 1970 and 2004” — see: http://www.appinsys.com/GlobalWarming/ArcticAnimals.htm
