Warm, cold or in between, September will still be the 331st consecutive above normal month. A genuine tribute to Hansen’s magical manipulative abilities. Like pitching 12 consecutive perfect games.

Hansenized , hansenization , hansened , hansen , these words will be usefull adjectives in the future to describe acts of deception and manipulation . Now theres a legacy to leave to the grandchildren .

In a few years time –
“Tom, can you reHansenize the figures, the stock-market data looks shaky.”
      or
“After reappraising with Monte Carlo methods difficulties were found. So we instead decided to just Hansenize to the closest required values.”

This is part and parcel of what I am concerned about and have blogged about, the turnabout that may be in the making. The overall global picture is reversing from the warming cycle caused naturally by the oceans and the result of change of signal is for extremes. . The Russian summer of 2010 which like the US summer this year was being used by AGW proponents as “proof” of their idea, was followed by a repeated shots of cold till the severe winter followed. Should this be the case in the US, I am sure we will hear the usual drivel about their idea causing extremes. Like spoiled children, reality does not matter to them , just that they get their way.
BTW in spite of the weakish el nino coming on.. the PDO is cold again!
