That explains why GISS shows winter temperatures plummeting over the past decade.

These maps don’t include the current winter.

  1. I guess that’s why its called “Skeptical Science.” Because he’s skeptical of science, and likes to substitute it with his own version of things.

  2. Andy Weiss says:

This afternoon it was 59 in Nassau, Bahamas and 55 in Key West. Ideal beach weather with our warming climate!

  3. Dave N says:

The only human fingerprints in his diagram are the two labelled “more fossil fuel carbon [sic]…”. There’s still no empirically proven connection to the other things he has labelled, regardless of whether or not they’re actually happening anyway.

He also has a hard time separating fantasy from fiction. Models are not “evidence”; they’re theories, and they’re consistently getting it wrong, which makes them doubly worse.

Help! I am totally confused. Isn’t there a new paper that suggests global warming will result in colder, snowier winters in the Northern Hemisphere?

  4. ChrisD says:

What do you suppose would happen if you looked at trends longer than “the past decade,” as Cook did? Say, CRUTemp 1850-2009 or UAH 1979-2009?

    Just curious.
