Australia had drought, flood or both during almost every year from 1789 to 1864.

For examples, flooding has zero correlation with CO2 but does correlate with SOI. This is not even controversial. The relationship has been known in the scientific community for decades. It’s a little disturbing when decades of well established science gets ignored because it doesn’t fit into a particular narrative.

Sounds like Texas only the opposite of El Nino/ La Nina effect. Texas wants El Nino. Australia wants La Nina…
