Ahahhhh. That explains Ted Turner playing Capt. Planet on Robot Chicken.
Capt. Planet-
“We’ll be eight degrees hotter in ten, not ten but 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow. Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals.”
“A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.”
Mr. Turner – a long-time advocate of population control – said the environmental stress on the Earth requires radical solutions, suggesting countries should follow China’s lead in instituting a one-child policy to reduce global population over time. He added that fertility rights could be sold so that poor people could profit from their decision not to reproduce.
I’ll bet he wishes his parents had one less child.
Turner sounds a lot like Paul Ehrlich and John Holdren.
