Romm : New Mexico Controls The Fate Of The Planet

Sadly for New Mexico, climate denial and failure to adopt sensible low-carbon policies risks multiple catastrophic consequences, which could well combine to depopulate the state in the second half of the century.

He also says that Antarctica is melting at minus 40 degrees.

If the other states keep committing AGW suicide I suspect new Mexico may be the new boom state.

I suspect you are right. Why are Arizona and Nevada 2 of the fastest growing states? People got tired of the loony liberal lefty luddites of California and their green laws.

        Phil:
I left Nevada because the people from California were turning it into an extension of California. Even here we have City Folk moving to the country wanting to bring city stuff with them and some young country folk wanting to be like those in the city. The older folks just ignore them and hold on to land for when they grow out of their foolishness and want a peaceful life!

      • PhilJourdan says:

Mike, I can well beleive that. Before the housing bust, my relatives were getting priced out of their homes – in Imperial Valley California! Coastals were bidding up houses (about 25oo sq ft) over $300k! In an area that has the highest unemployment in the nation!

Why? It was cheaper to buy a $300k house and commute 2+ hours (each way) than buying on the coast. Of course all these “greenies” were not responsible for the CO2 problem (driving SUVs for commuting to work is a net decreaser of CO2, right?).

      • Mike Davis says:

        But Of Course!

      • Mike Davis says:

You realize it can not be just any SUV. Hummmers with Land Rovers second choice. Land Rovers are famous for their mileage!

      • Mike Davis says:

With some I forget whether it is MPG or GPM!
