Speaking at a conference on the changing atmosphere, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney of Canada proposed a global ”law of the air,” and Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland of Norway called for a treaty to stabilize the earth’s atmosphere and prevent further degradation.

The fear-mongering Chicken Littles, then (1988), before then, after then, and now, have been repeating endless broken record proclamations of doom. It never ends. It’s sounds like a broken record. The people are tired of it. It’s shameful. No more!
And a slew of the past predictions have come due, and all of them have proven 100% false. Not a hint of the disasters they predicted have come true. Not an inkling. Same with their computer models.
Yet they keep going at it. They keep getting up to the plate and swinging again with another doom and gloom prediction. They’ve swung and missed many more than 3 times. 3 strikes and the umpire yells strike out, but they refuse to budge, continuing to stand there swinging away with more absurd predictions. “Get out of the batter’s box” the umpire bellows. Now, it’s 3 outs, time to get off the field. Then, the 9 innings are done, and the fans have all gone home, but the Cry Wolfers just stay at the plate swinging away. More and more laughable predictions of doom. Unceasing ridiculousness. They yell: the sea is going to flood half the country!
