Also Cech saved Robben’s shot onto the woodwork, and all the other woodwork that Barcelona hit (Sanchez, Pedro, etc). Chelsea are the luckiest winners of the Champions League ever. They didn’t deserve to win any of their knockout round ties – they were thoroughly outplayed in every one of them, up to and including the final. Benfica, Napoli, Barcelona, Bayern – they all were better than Chelsea. I still can’t believe that their luck held out for that long. Reminds me of Greece at Euro 2004.
I say well done to Chelsea. This a cup competion, sometimes the best side doesn’t win. Bad news for Spurs though.
