Of course you know that Bligh ended up as a Governor in Australia in 1806.
His time in Australia was to say the least “tumultuous” and eventually the settlers “arrested” him and had him returned to England. During his governorship there occurred the famous “Rum Rebellion”
In real life he was a truly unpleasant man.
