Death spiral? Huh, funny, I don’t see anything happening.
Turn your head sideways and visualize it in three dimensions. Imagine ‘death’ at the bottom, just out of view.
It can be really scary if you want it to be. And somebody does.

One thing about that graph that bugs me is that there were increases in ice extent every year since 2006 except in this year…
That is a good thing. The ice is remaining compacted, which means that it is thicker.
