It seems to me that Hayhoe is worried that sea levels will rise 140 feet. Houston’s elevation is 50 feet. If Houston were raised 100 feet and there was a 140 foot rise in sea levels, Houston would still stand 10 feet above the Gulf of Mexico that has been raised by the temperatures of Hayhoe’s feverish imagination. For perspective, Galveston’s elevation is 7 feet.
Katherine’s funding must be running out. Have you noticed that the wildest non-scientific claims about the climate make the author more respected by the so-called climate scientists.

Since when is the climate stable? Hayhoe may be one of most obtuse female bipeds to ever practice the “climate science” racket. She’s certainly an embarrassment to Texas Tech University. When I read her comments, I’m reminded of Mark Twain’s famous quote:
“Better to be silent and thought stupid, then to speak and remove all doubt.”
She removed all doubt the first time she opened her mouth!
Please note that NASA says if all the South pole melted, sea levels would rise 197 feet. Why did . Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, a director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University, only estimate 100 feet?

We have trouble thinking about long term effects like 100 or 200 years. Do we reallly know that all the sea ice won’t melt?
Global sea ice has averaged above normal this year, and even if all the sea ice melted it would have no impact on sea level.
Dude, you need to do a little review. How much sea ice is there at the South Pole?
