    It has temporarily warmed up in the upper Midwest, but another frigid outbreak coming on May 1, with more heavy snow from Denver to Iowa & Minnesota.

    Widespread flooding next week along the permanently drought devastated Red River.

    Is that snow I see up in Scotland? The Scottish ski industry is serially doomed.

    Many ski resorts close this weekend with huge amounts of snow still on their slopes. It is icy in the morning and slushy by the afternoon, but still well worth it. It has been quite a winter in Europe though for some it continues.There is still sking to be had.

    The season of 2012/13 will go down in many people’s memories as one of the best. Ever.
