If GHGs and clouds account for 83 % of the radiation emitted to space as the IPCC using Kiehl & Trenberth et al claim it is actually difficult to see them as being responsible for global warming – they account for 83% of the cooling.
Allegedly 99 % of the atmosphere is essentially transparent to IR radiation and according to many cannot radiate IR.
Given that the atmosphere actually heats up – I think thermometers prove this but I could be wrong – and 99% cannot radiate IR to space to cool then I suggest this is a very strong argument that non-GHGs are responsible for global warming/climate change.
