I have a few stashed in Zotero somewhere. Here’s one:

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts, October 4, 2006 (ENS) – Global warming will cause major changes to the climate of the U.S. Northeast if greenhouse gas emissions are not reduced, scientists said today. Warmer annual temperatures, less snow, more frequent droughts and more extreme rainstorms are expected if current warming trends continue, the scientists said in a new study, and time is running out for action to avoid such changes to the climate.

ERNEN, Switzerland — Bruno Prior, a British entrepreneur, saw the ad from the Ernen ski-lift company one day as he was sipping coffee and looking through the newspaper in London.
Several months later — after paying the token sum of one Swiss franc, or about 90 cents — he is the proud owner of four ski lifts, two trail groomers and a restaurant on 12 miles of ski slopes.
As global warming brings less snow, lower-altitude stations rely more on costly snow machines.

Bruno Prior won big time!!!
“So, I look forward to the BBC doing a follow-up One Planet special to find out why the “predictions of warmer winters” turned out to be completely and utterly wrong.”
Sadly, alarmists recant the “the increase in snow is consistent with AGW” mantra, despite the contradiction. Most peoples memories aren’t that short, and many already know they’ve been “had”.
Perhaps they looked at the Met Office data here:
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate/uk/averages/19712000/areal/uk.html
and here:

For maintaining your own peace-of-mind, however, I recommend you don’t look.
I looked. Peace-of-mind quite intact.
Thanks for those links JohnM. I dug a little deeper, interested in previous decades, which strangely, metoffice.gov.uk, does not provide. Hoever, thanks to the magic of the internet, someone has already dug for us.
A famous man once stated, and thus I repeat: “For maintaining your own peace-of-mind, however, I recommend you don’t look.”

Looks pretty cold in the UK compared to recent averages.
2012 averaged 0.2-0.5 deg C below the 1980-2010 averages for most of the UK except for a tidbit of Scotland. Really good website though.
And before one says “one swallow….etc etc”, can I refer to Paul Homewoods link below which covers the UK temperature record for the past few centuries. That temperature record makes the UK met office linked data totally redundant to an argument that catastrophic global warming is here.
Peace of Mind intact.
Make that Ben’s “Clive Best” link, rather than Paul’s Link for the temp record.
I like Pauls as well, as it shows what weird ideas are out there.

According to the U.N. climate experts at Davos, Switzerland conference:
“The tourism industry is both challenged by climate change and a contributor to greenhouse gas emissions,” UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Executive Director Achim Steiner said at an international conference in Davos, Switzerland.
“The Swiss Alps suffered due to a lack of snow this winter and it’s not due to chance.”

Snowiest start to winter in 55 years
No doubt that wasn’t by chance either.
Also on the $1 ski resort purchase, that same year, 2008:

Snowless winters forecast for Wales as world warms up
He said, “Snowlines are going up in altitude all over the world. The idea that we will get less snow is absolutely in line with what we expect from global warming.”
They just make it up as they go along……
Good stuff on these, Slimething. Hope you won’t mind if i include these as well 🙂
Not at all, it’s for “the cause”.
Unfortunately, the elites just talk to themselves, and they don’t pay any attention to the people cataloguing all these contradictions. This doesn’t mean it isn’t vital to keep doing this. It just means that it won’t be sufficient.
That is true, but when my True Believer acquaintances and co-workers flap their jaws this sort of stuff comes in handy. Enough examples and they are deer in headlights.
And more here from the Met Office, NCAR and NOAA!!
