Besides the fact that most of their Arctic “data” is fabricated, they use other mind tricks. Note above how their standard press release file smeared the highest color band across the entire Arctic, while their more detailed netcdf file below shows a different story. Also note that their file for public consumption uses hot colors for effect, while the netcdf file looks much cooler.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

I don’t think that the public believes them any more, anyway…
Yes, they make the Arctic look huge, then they color in hot temperatures to make it look like the globe is burning up. The average media bird brain won’t know the difference!
Isn’t there some sort of mechanism for firing government employees who engage in obvious fraud?
Actually, there is a mechanism for dealing with government employees who engage in obvious fraud.
It’s called a promotion!
Seriously, you really think the liberals are going to prosecute people who are helping their campaigns? They could care less if they painted the whole map red as long as people believe in their little shenanigans, which fewer and fewer are.
@Old Goat:
Unfortunately there are still many, whether willing or just because they don’t know better, wo DO believe them still. Funny thing is they say that the ones who say we should all think for ourselves are the ones who are just spouting talking points like they are.
And yes, unfortunately, Wes M is correct: As long as the fraud you’re perpitrating is in favor with your bosses, engaging in it does get you promoted!
