  1. Julia Gillard a member of the Fabian Society.

  2. Dave N says:

The Farrelly brothers couldn’t have written a better script. Coming to a theater near you..

    • Windsong says:

When the screenplay gets to the point where the “large ice-breaker” gets locked in ice, a worried BBC reporter can say, “you’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

(Apologies to Chief Martin Brody, Amityville Police Dept.)

  3. _Jim says:

Delusional; delusion – a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary. As a pathology, it is distinct from a belief based on false or incomplete information, confabulation, dogma, illusion, or other effects of perception.

Delusions typically occur in the context of neurological or mental illness, although they are not tied to any particular disease and have been found to occur in the context of many pathological states (both physical and mental). However, they are of particular diagnostic importance in psychotic disorders including schizophrenia, paraphrenia, manic episodes of bipolar disorder, and psychotic depression.

“Against a backdrop of falling investment in science in Western Countries”

There is little money left to fund science research after the grant sucking, doom spouting, leeches of the cult of Climastrology have siphoned it all off to churn out their ascientific drivel abount CO2 causing CAGW, or to make super duper computer algorithms to cool the physically recorded temperatures of the past and warm the present, and/or make them up as required!

  5. Justa Joe says:

Christmas Turkey has a lot of money riding on the AGW scam with his personal for profit company so, of course, he’s not gonna go gentle into that good night.

  6. Hew Manatee says:

Enough with the Julia Gillard photos already – they make me vomit on my shoes.

  7. philjourdan says:

Getting an endorsement form Gilliard is the highlight of his career. So now he can say he has the endorsement of the greatest liar in Oz history who was tossed out by her own party before the voters of Oz tossed out her party.

At this rate, I am sure he is going to be saying he was disappointed the ship did not sink – he sure did.

  8. Latitude says:

sorta makes you wonder why they needed a “large ice breaker” in the first place….’s amazing what idiots can come up with sitting around smoking that crap

    • Turney passing a Russian promotional charter brochure of the Shokalskiy:

“Holy crap, man, ice-breaker! The thing is huge! There are real Russians on it! Who has the joint?”

    • There Is No Substitute for Victory. says:

Hey, the Ruskies and the Chinese both sent real honest to God ice breakers and even these powerful ships were unable to pull Chris Turney’s gonads out of the ice.

There are two types of liars. Those who lie get caught and hang their heads in shame. Then there are the liars who get caught in a lie and fabricate and even bigger and more elaborate lie to cover for the first, second, and any subsequent lies. Chris Turney belongs in this higher class of liars.

Carbonscape has developed a platform capability, using proprietary, continuous flow, digital microwave technology to produce solutions to the major issues facing our world today. Carbonscape is a carbon refining company, harnessing the power and finesse of microwave technology to revolutionise the analogue pyrolysis process, taking waste and other organic matter and turning it into value-added products, including oils, gases and activated carbon.”

“Professor Chris Turney is an Australian and British Earth scientist. He currently holds a prestigious Australian Research Council Laureate Fellowship at the University of New South Wales. At 39 years young, he was described by The Saturday Times as ‘the new David Livingstone’.

Chris is the inventor and a founding Director of Carbonscape, a New Zealand carbon refining company that offers a global solution for mitigating the effects of climate change; in 2009, it was selected as the Judges Top Choice in the Financial Times Climate Change Challenge and in 2012 came runner up in the International Dutch Postcode Lottery Green Challenge.

Chris leads a large research team at the University of New South Wales and is passionate about science communication. He has published numerous scientific papers and given frequent media interviews, thanks to his infectious enthusiasm for working out what happened when. He regularly takes expeditions around the world, posting real time accounts of their findings on Twitter and YouTube.”

  10. Truthseeker says:

Juliar Gillard has form in sleeping with married men. The First Lady should be very worried …

  11. Anto says:

It is truly astonishing how little self-insight this man-child has. He quotes Carl Sagan at the end, yet fails to find a hint of irony in it, given his own predicament was the product of exactly what Sagan warned about:

As the great Carl Sagan once wrote, ‘If we teach only the findings and products of science – no matter how useful and inspiring they may be – without communicating its critical method, how can the average person possibly distinguish science from pseudoscience?’

Thirty years on, Carl Sagan’s words remain frighteningly relevant.

  12. Louis Hooffstetter says:

“To make the measurements so desperately needed today, co-leader and friend Dr Chris Fogwill and I resolved to head south.”

Okay Dr. Turney, so show us these measurements and tell us why they were so “desperately needed today”. But please don’t tell us you measured something mundane like temperature, salinity, and the number of penguins milling around the ship.
