. aaahhh, 50 degree C. On June 26, 1990, Phoenix reached that, 122 degrees F (50 degrees C). Areas along the Colorado River were something around 125 degrees F.
Yeah, I remember that. And then in July 1994, I think we reached only 121 degrees F, but that’s because I recall the thermometer at the airport had been moved to a different location, that was 1 or 2 degrees cooler than the previous location. Otherwise that would have been a record.
Nothing anything close to that since . . . must be that global cooling . . 🙂
Its seriously hot, but not as hot as 2009.
And I daresay not as hot as 1908, in fact im damn sure it isn’t.
What is strange though is we have higher Dps with this heatwave and thunderstorms every night, despite an upper ridge.
