Lefties Define Paranoia As Being 100% Correct

I have been blasting the NRA for its paranoia in the gun-control debate.

Forget police drones flying over your house. How about police coming inside, once a year, to have a look around?

As Orwellian as that sounds, it isn’t hypothetical. The notion of police home inspections was introduced in a bill last week in Olympia.

“They always say, we’ll never go house to house to take your guns away. But then you see this, and you have to wonder.”

In other words, the NRA is being diligent and correctly concerned. That is what lefties call paranoia. Obama, Biden and Feinstein are determined to disarm Americans, and everything they say to the contrary is a bold-faced lie.

    Bill of Rights ?
We don’t need no steenking Bill of Rights .
How many amendments to the Constitution does such a law break anyway ?
    I get about 4.

Well, another example of the DUMBocrats who have to enter and pass a bill to see what is in it. The bozo who entered the bill said the home invasion clause should be in it (probably unconstitutional) ….

Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.

From the Washington Times this morning…
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/feb/19/obamas-real-gun-control-aim/ (excerpts)

“Chicago is a dangerous town, but gun control hasn’t made it better. The city forbids the law-abiding from having guns, leaving the bad guys to rule the streets. The result is one of the highest murder rates in the country. President Obama’s plan isn’t to reverse from a failed course, but to apply federal gun registration and confiscation of certain weapons nationwide…

“The rising homicide rate actually is unique to the president’s hometown. The 506 murders last year reflected a 16 percent increase over the previous year. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, this happened while the rest of the country saw a 2 percent decrease in homicides; the national rate is at its lowest point since 1963…

“The Justice Department memo recommends the creation of a national gun registry to make background checks for private gun sales useful for the government. The report says registering every gun purchase in the country would “increase owner responsibility,” enable “monitoring” of multiple gun purchases in a short period of time and “improve law enforcement’s ability to retrieve guns from owners” prohibited from possessing firearms. That’s code for confiscation.

The murder rate in Kenya is over 20 per 100,000, as compared to less than 4 per 100,000 in the USA. In Kenya it is illegal for a private citizen to own auto or even semi-auto weapons. They must renew licenses every year and provide a valid “genuine” reason for possession. It is also illegal to carry guns in public, concealed or otherwise.

Gun regulation in Kenya is classified as “restrictive”, and they have over 5 times the murder rate we do. Chicago and LA are about the same with just under 20 per 100,000. Then there is Detroit, with 53 per 100,000. What is it about Kenya and our inner cities?

It’s tough being an American gunowner here in Australia. We put up with unannounced police inspections of our (compulsory registered, magazine limited, bolt-action and small caliber handgun only) firearms safekeeping here. It is acceptable to politely refuse the un-announced visit, but you then must verbally agree a time when you’ll be around. And then they ask all kinds of unrelated questions. What kind of welder is that? What are those chemicals for? Is that milling machine CNC? How long have you had that lathe? That looks like an awful lot of 12 volt batteries in that shelf-rack. What is that?

I’ll have to renew my license this year, with a raft of valid reasons. Self defense is NOT one of them. Renewal every 5 years or the guns go.

You don’t know how lucky you are, boys, back in the USSA.
