If you search for “record heat” on news.google.com, the “Archives” link reappears on the left, just above “Custom Range”, but only AFTER search results appear.
Weather data beyond 5 years back also seems to be harder to get on line. You now have to pay some private weather firms to get it.
Should we read anything into this – from the Environment Canada website “OTTAWA MACDONALD-CARTIER INT’L A, HAMILTON A, DEER LAKE A, GANDER INT’L A, ST.JOHN’S A, SASKATOON DIEFENBAKER INT’L A, LONDON INT’L A, SAULT STE. Due to some unanticipated data processing issues related to the new data flow, the display of daily data from these stations is not available on our website at present.
