According to a recent study, 86% of Obama’s statistics are made up.
Does this mean foreclosures are good for the planet?
If houses are 40%, and shrinking old glass thermometers are 90%, and roofs are 20%, and UHI is 80%, and on and on (yes, that is all from peer reviewed studies)…
…then that explains why we are all freezing our butts off right now
Temperatures have been crashing for years and no one measured it.
Pretendident O’Sputternik has a Harvard degree in social justice so he knows these things. The solution of course, is for all of us to live in Government owned multi-story apartment buildings with no windows….. next to a rail line that can take us back and forth to the people’s factory.

There are plenty of good reasons to conserve energy. Global warming is not one of them.
>There are plenty of good reasons to conserve energy.
Instead of worrying about conserving, we should first start thinking about stopping wasting our energy by recycling and ALL “alternative” energy.
When I first moved into my condo, we would have one garbage truck come a day. Now at least four, each for different forms of trash and recycling. Is that efficient?
Great point. Worth an article.
Where do you find the time??
He just “Re-cycles” articles from other places! 😉 Think of it as Steven’s contribution to energy conservation!
This is all fine and well for the consumer initially. Unlike cheap gasoline where we may tend to drive more (Jevon’s Paradox), in our homes and businesses we don’t turn the heat up higher now that the fuel source is cheaper. In the end there is a net savings of energy.
The problem arises when the utility sees a XX% drop in revenue (and resulting profits). Public (socialized) Utilities need to maintain a specific revenue level to cover costs and private utilities have shareholders that need to be satisfied. The likely scenario will be a rate increase to offset the lost revenue and, in the end, the cost to heat your home/business won’t have changed.

Gore was attributed to having said the same thing. I guess it was infectious enough to have reached Obama.
I suspect it was a misquote. I posted about it here a couple of months ago, but I’m too
lazybusy to look it up.
