My grandfather lost his house in Bel Air in 1961
I was 10 in 1966 when I went to visit him for the summer, the whole neighborhood was rebuilt by then, all new houses. They never learned anything because all the vegetation in the canyon was regrowing, and nobody was cutting it back. It’s the next neighborhood east of Pacific Palisades and the fire is creeping that way.
