    One of the best line in the movie Broken Arrow (MilSpeak for loosing nukes) is: I don’t what’s worse, loosing nukes or that it happens enough times you have term for it.

  6. I read the reports and follow-ups from this. The crash was potentially cause, as I recall, by a burning seat cushion set off by electrical wiring. The aircraft wasn’t yet to the stage of “trying to make an emergency landing” — though published details were sketchy early on.

    They recovered the nuclear bomb pieces, mostly, and a substantial portion of the broken and distributed nuclear material. But it took a long time to do so, and changed their policies and practices.
