Rain Used To Be Caused By Global Cooling, But Now Caused By Global Warming

Forty years ago, global cooling caused record rainfall

In Africa, drought continues for the sixth consecutive year, adding terribly to the toll of famine victims. During 1972 record rains in parts of the U.S., Pakistan and Japan caused some of the worst flooding in centuries. In Canada’s wheat belt, a particularly chilly and rainy spring has delayed planting and may well bring a disappointingly small harvest. Rainy Britain, on the other hand, has suffered from uncharacteristic dry spells the past few springs. A series of unusually cold winters has gripped the American Far West, while New England and northern Europe have recently experienced the mildest winters within anyone’s recollection.

As they review the bizarre and unpredictable weather pattern of the past several years, a growing number of scientists are beginning to suspect that many seemingly contradictory meteorological fluctuations are actually part of a global climatic upheaval. However widely the weather varies from place to place and time to time, when meteorologists take an average of temperatures around the globe they find that the atmosphere has been growing gradually cooler for the past three decades. The trend shows no indication of reversing. Climatological Cassandras are becoming increasingly apprehensive, for the weather aberrations they are studying may be the harbinger of another ice age.

Heavy rain is now caused by global warming

There is no indication that heavy rainfall events are increasing. Every global and US short term rainfall record was set below 350 PPM CO2. Alarmists have no idea what they are talking about. They just make things up to scare people.

  1. Mohatdebos says:

Can we all start referring to “alarmists” as “climatological cassandras” from now on.

    • Robert Austin says:

No. Cassandra was doomed to foretell the future and it was fated that no one was to believe her. Alarmists are inverse Cassandras. That is, they are doomed to lie about the future and everyone (almost) is fated to to believe them.

  2. Global climatic upheaval™

  3. tom0mason says:

But the IPCC says if it don’t get drier, it will definitely get wetter, or as IPCC Working Group I co-chair Dr. Thomas Stocke says :
“Heat waves are very likely to occur more frequently and last longer. As the Earth warms, we expect to see currently wet regions receiving more rainfall, and dry regions receiving less, although there will be exceptions,”

Of course anything said by a UN employee is very likely a lie.
Also see ‘UN Peace Keeper’ oxymoron.

The guy is paid to say what Barbara Streisand wants to put out to the masses.

Oppenheimer is satan in human form.

  6. jimash1 says:

Keep it up. They HATE these historical facts.

  7. Dave N says:

    “Get used to it”

“We have been for ages, moron”

  8. Brian G Valentine says:

Twitter has become the scientific journal of choice for Oppenheimer and about a dozen or so of his ilk.

Twitter ought to start charging publication fees for these climate science discoveries.
