The only years with colder afternoons in the US were 1895, 1912 and (Mt. Pinatubo) 1993.

    What happened in 2012 to cause that spike above everything since the 50’s ?

    Also looks like a sine curve fits the data points really well – where to now – upswing or downswing ?
