Do they EVER blame themselves? One of the character flaws of failures and losers (besides banding together in group causes) is to dig in their heels and keep repeating the same stubborn ideas. Ideas that proved counterproductive before, and called “progressive.”

The Democratic Party isn’t “liberal”, it is authoritarian, which is the opposite of “liberal”. Liberalism is the notion that the individual trumps the state. Read the Wikipedia entry for “authoritarianism” and you will pretty much a description of the Democratic Party ideology.
Another thing people need to realize is that in 2009 the entire staff of the DNC in Washington DC was fired. The party HQ was moved to Chicago and the DNC was staffed with apparatchik of the Chicago urban political machine. The Chicago machine is the most corrupt urban political organization in the nation. The Democratic Party has now become the national arm of the Chicago Outfit. If a person was a Democratic Party supporter before 2009, they need to be aware that the party they came to know and support is gone. It was hijacked by the Chicago Machine in 2009.
