His argument seems to be based on the notion that green energy can be made economical over time with sufficient “investment” (subsidy). There may not be a rational basis for that belief, however.
They are called ‘Greenies’ as they are green and inexperienced in how the economy and elector voting principles work.
The Queen is suffering from soaring heating bills. Perhaps a few wind turbines on top of Buckingham Palace will do the trick? Some solar panels on the roof? Then again there is plenty of biomass inside the Lib Dems that could be burnt in the old boiler to heat the palace. “For Queen and country”. Nick?

I thought the Queen had installed some sort of Archimedes screw-turbine-thingy, and their royal electricity bills were going to plummet, and the excess power was going back into the grid to save us all?
