Therefore we have to find something to blame on fossil fuels. The global warming thing turned out to be a total bust, so we made up some other nonsense about climate change and ocean acidification.
The most important thing to remember is that progressives are infants permanently tied to the government umbilical cord, and will believe any nonsensical story we come up with, no matter how stupid is.

Fossil fuels are making us fat, not CO2. Fossil fuels power our cars and machines, so we don’t burn as many kcal as when we performed more manual labor. Heck, with drive-through at a fast food eatery, you don’t even burn the 10 kcal or so getting out of your car to get your food.
Accumulate 3500 extra kcal, and you gain one pound of adipose tissue (i.e. fat).
But if I could add a differing perspective, look at Colorado, arguably they have on average the biggest trucks and mountain busting SUVs in the country, but those in CO are also the thinnest in the country. So, as in gun control the saying is “don’t blame the gun,” and while the “Twinkie defense” might work, the obese person that tries to blame his well-fueled vehicle has only to look at CO, where people get out and exercise, like Steven!
People should be massing in the streets demanding that western countries stop funding the UN. Get as far away from it as possible and the whole lie will collapse and wither away.
Same thing at home, stop all monies from going to anything climate related and the lie will stop overnight.

I was thinking, what if we engineered an inexhaustible super cheap emission free energy source, like cold or hot fusion, what would most of the greens do? They certainly wouldn’t be happy. What scare would they push next in order to try to get us to de-develop civilization and curtail the use of the new cheap & harmless energy source?
