President Obama played golf on Saturday following his major announcement that he had decided the United States should take military action against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for using chemical weapons on civilians during that country’s civil war.
The president and Vice President Biden left for the course within minutes of his Rose Garden speech in which he asked Congress to first approve such action.

Like all Americans, President Obama and Vice-President Biden are also impacted and have to make personal war sacrifices. To say otherwise would be pernicious nonsense. My understanding is they were trying to get in 18 holes, but due to the announcement, were only able to get in nine.
Golf is said to have a calming influence on the psyche after condemning hundreds of people you never met to death. Maybe they should try it on Breivik in Norway, he might just qualify for early release.
