‘March summer’ linked to global warming
An early “March summer” in Canada and the United States with record high temperatures may be a symptom of global warming, researchers said.
“We’ve never seen these kinds of temperatures before,” Dave Phillips, a senior climatologist at Environment Canada, said. “It’s quite remarkable.”
“The duration, areal size, and intensity of the ‘summer in March’ heat wave are simply off-scale,” Jeff Masters of the Weather Underground Web site in San Francisco said. “The event ranks as one of North America’s most extraordinary weather events in recorded history.”

Complete nonsense – March 2012 was not as warm as March 1910, and these same geniuses are blaming the cold during March 2013 on global warming.

NASA’s Langley Research Center instruments show that the thermosphere not only received a whopping 26 billion kilowatt hours of energy from the sun during a recent burst of solar activity, but that the upper atmospheric carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide molecules sent as much as 95% of that straight back out into space.
The shock revelation starkly contradicts the core proposition of the so-called greenhouse gas theory which claims that more CO2 means more warming for our planet. However, this compelling new NASA data more likely serves as the final nail in the junk science global warming coffin and a huge embarrassment for NASA’s chief climatologist, Dr James Hansen over at NASA’s GISS.
Wow, rather damning to the AGW peeps out there, I would say:
“Carbon dioxide and nitric oxide are natural thermostats,” explains James Russell of Hampton University, SABER’s principal investigator. “When the upper atmosphere (or ‘thermosphere’) heats up, these molecules try as hard as they can to shed that heat back into space.”
The only molecules that carry any latent heat are water molecules. And the warmists studiously avoid any mention of that fact, as they do any mention of conduction and convection, the primary methods of atmospheric heat transport. Instead, they invent fantastical stories about CO2 “capturing” and downwelling infrared energy. In fact, because of its high emissivity, CO2 is actually a radiative catalyst, accelerating the transport of heat into space.
This is not the first paper to find cooling properties in CO2…
“Applying the physics laws of atmospheric heat transfer, the carbon dioxide behaves as a coolant of the Earth’s surface and the Earth’s atmosphere by its effect of diminishing the total absorptivity and total emissivity of the mixture of atmospheric gases.”

Yes, but what is rather striking about this one, and I suggest you go read it, is that this is a recently measured occurrence by a NASA project. This is empirical data proving the hypothesis, and consequently destroying the CO2/warming meme. This is the sort of information that should be plastered all over the place showing that the warmists (and Hansenites) are all full of shit!
Hey Squid! I am by no means downplaying the new paper or the gravitas of its source. I will have to give it a look later, laptop down right now and I hate reading lengthy material on my iPhone.
Is there any way to cure these global warming idiots of their brain damage, or are their brains permanently re-wired for lunacy now. I am officially labeling Global warming madness as a form of mass hysteria…
If a CO2 molecule radiates (and it must) it radiates 360 degrees from it entire constructed surfaces so why does the crap we on AGW sites and in their reports show energy radiating only down toward the earths surface. This alone indicates that the energy, by 50% or more radiates back into space. The real thermo challenge exists when one understand that the AGW folks contend it radiates to the earths surface ( a hotter medium by far and acts like a blanket as if the perennial cold of the void of space does not exist). Lower energy emissions DO NOT radiate to any higher energy mass. Where am I missing this…
One would have to be very dumb to believe that record cold weather is really global warming!
