Lies, Damn Lies, And Democrats

Lance Armstrong is banned for life for lying and cheating. Barack Obama is President for lying and cheating. James Hansen is the world’s greatest climatologist for lying and cheating.

One of three made America proud. The other two are dragging America into the dirt.

Well who can stay angry at lance, he has that enlarged heart.

Lance goes down there with Barry Bonds, Sosa, Palmero and the whole bunch.

The good news for me is that I never thought of athletes as heroes. Even as a child I never developed that worship of athletes. Now after seeing what the athletes have done the last 20 years, I’m glad I never did.

The amazing thing is how well these steroids work. In 10 years, the longest drivers in golf went from hitting the ball 295 yards on the fly to nearly 400 yards on the fly. Some of it is technology, but nowhere near 100 yards of technology.

You can probably put Tiger on the list of steroid cheaters. Even aside from his personal problems, his legacy is also highly tarnished. When Tiger came upon the scene, the thought was that PEDs would not help you with golf. How wrong they were!

Banning drug use other than the stimulant caffeine or the narcotic alcohol in athletics is a ban on scientific progress through competition, except in China of course whose soldiers will soon prance around like Bruce Lee as the biological sciences continue to make massive advances. Lance is a true American innovator of the highest rank, similar in a way to Steve Jobs who “cheated” his way to inventing a working personal computer by massive use of LSD.

The haven’t made enough “dope” to make me any good at riding a bicycle. Lance still rules in my book. His accomplishment is diminished, but still great.

  5. mkelly says:

Lance competed against men who were doing the same thing he was, only he did it better and passed all tests.

re: ” similar in a way to Steve Jobs who “cheated” his way to inventing a working personal computer by massive use of LSD.” NikFromNYC

Jobs didn’t invent “a working personal computer” or even claim to do it. He had vision to see the opportunity existed to exploit the development of the microprocessor. He had the luck to know a true genus, Steve Wozniak*, with an IQ of circa 180+ who did have the electronic and programming skills to build a Cheap and Workable computer system: Apple (1), Apple II, Apple Disk Drive, Integer BASIC, and original software color display. Jobs was too young and immature to successfully exploit his vision and lost out to the suits: MBAs who eased him out of Apple in the mid 80s.

*Steve Wozniak was in a plane crash in 1981 where he sustained a severe head injury. After that he never exhibited the creative talent he had before but few brilliant individuals ever show such innovative prowess no matter what their IQ for very long. I read once that people with IQs of 165+ rarely do much with their brains other than entertain themselves.

Al Gore got filthy rich for lying, cheating and committing treasonous acts (selling China technology).

So when the President takes the oath of office at his inauguration, is he being truthful or is he perjuring himself?
